Wedding coming up?

Whether you’re a friend, relative or taking centre stage, this post will give you a few tricks to help you have perfect skin on D-Day. For optimal results, start with our care routine a few months ahead of the big day.

Day routine

An absolute essential in our daily routine is cleansing and proper hydration.

Cleanse your skin twice daily, morning and night, for healthier, fresher, more hydrated skin.

Our recommendation for your morning cleanse is:

  1. Essential Micellar Cleansing Gel.
  2. Essential 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Solution.

If you like the way water feels on your face in the morning, you’ll love our Micellar Gel. Even so, lime and other elements in the water can dry or irritate the skin and upset its pH balance. That’s why we recommend using our Micellar Solution as the final step. This product moisturises, restores pH balance and leaves your skin feeling great.

Next, apply MartiDerm Expression eye and lip contour to the areas around your eyes and lips and on your forehead and between the eyebrows.

If blemishes are a problem for you, follow this with DSP Illuminator Serum, then a proteoglycan ampoule.

And this is one of the treatment’s strong points. Within MartiDerm’s range of ampoules, the Skin Complex daily ampoules are ideal for special events or dates. It has a powerful moisturising action that makes the skin look softer and an antioxidant effect that will make your skin glow, for an even stronger “flash” effect.

Finish with SPF 50+ DPS CREAM if you worry about blemishes, or whichever habitual treatment cream best suits your skin’s needs.

Night routine

At bedtime, we recommend a pretty similar routine.

Start with the same cleanse, although we recommend switching Micellar Gel for Essential Micellar Oil, which is perfect for a deep cleanse. Don’t worry if you have a mixed skin type: it’s suitable for all skin types and doesn’t leave an oily sensation.

After rinsing, finish off with Essential Micellar Solution and apply your eye contour again.

Follow this with an Alfa-Peeling ampoule. This will help remove dead skin cells, making your skin look smoother, more even and more attractive. We recommend using these every night leading up to the event, except for people with sensitive or reactive skin, who should use them on alternating days.

Finish off with your habitual night cream: Kinetinol if your skin feels dry, a sebum-regulating product like Acniover if you have sensitive skin in the days before your period, or Proteum Serum, with its global repairing and anti-ageing action.

The big day

If it is a daytime event, use your normal treatment before applying a Flash ampoule. For evening events, use a Skin Complex ampoule and a Flash ampoule after your contour, then you’ll be ready for your make-up ;) Don’t forget the routine:
  • Run-up to the event:

* Skin Complex ampoule in the day + Alfa-Peeling ampoule by night.

  • D-Day:

       * Skin Complex ampoule + Flash ampoule.

And one final tip: if you think it’s going to be a hot day, or your nerves have got you sweating, use a Driosec wipe on your face after cleansing, making sure to avoid the area around your eyes. Once it’s dry, you can carry on with your beauty ritual.
