Liposomes, best friend to oily or reactive skin

A few days ago we were talking about our original ampoule (click here to read again). Today we’re going to tell you about the properties and characteristics of the oil-free version: liposomes.

Of all the MartiDerm treatment ampoules available, this one sometimes doesn’t stand out, perhaps because we read the word “liposomes” and it seems a little strange. But did you know they contain the same proteoglycan as the ampoules for dry/dehydrated skin? Liposome ampoules are to all intents and purposes identical to proteoglycan capsules; in other words, they have the same hydrating and firming effect as the rest of the range.

The differences between liposomes and proteoglycans

So are the two products exactly the same? No: the difference is none other than the vitamin C they contain. In liposome ampoules, vitamin C appears in liposomed form (don’t worry, we’ll explain in a moment). This means the vitamin C is inside a liposome, which acts as a vehicle for direct penetration, preventing irritation in sensitive and/or reactive skin.

For example, liposome ampoules would be ideal if you’ve been diagnosed with rosacea or couperosis, unlike proteoglycan ampoules, where the vitamin C is not liposomed.

As well as vitamin C, the liposomes in our “red” proteoglycan capsule contains vitamin E. This means we can talk not only about sensitive skin, but also skin types with excess oils.

Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant ingredient and plays an essential incredible role because of its action in the regeneration of skin and in the formation of scar tissue. This means it is highly recommended for blemished or acne-prone skin, thanks to its regenerative effect.

Given that the liposome ampoules target oily skin, they are made using an oil-free formula. In this way, we can prevent the product itself from generating even more oil on the skin.

The final part of the formula of the ampoules is extract of glycolic hamamelis, which can calm more delicate skin and has a light astringent action on oilier skin types.

How are they used?

Due to their light, fresh texture, liposome ampoules are suitable for everybody, both women and men. The rapid absorption, fresh scent and the feeling of comfort the ampoules produce mean anyone who tries them will fall in love. They are applied in the same way as the rest of the range: we recommend applying half an ampoule to the face, neck and neckline before your usual cosmetic treatment, either by day or at night.

To sum up, liposome ampoules are practically identical to proteoglycan ampoules, except that they target people who have problems with acne or with reactive or oily skin.

If you want to know more ways of using our liposome ampoules, we’ll be posting more about them soon.
