By night: Alfa-Peeling ampoules

How many of you have ever wondered about the difference between Martiderm’s proteoglycan ampoules and our ampoule with a half-moon drawn on the box? Well if you have, then don’t worry, because we’re going to tell you.

The importance of nighttime care

It is very important to bear in mind that the period of the day right before you go to bed is essential for your skin. It’s at that precise time that we need to pay the most attention to skincare.

Our body activates certain hormone systems during these hours before we rest, starting a process of cell repair and regeneration. To find out more, have a look at the recent post dealing with the importance of nighttime skincare.

As we were saying, the ampoules with the crescent moon are our Alfa-Peeling ampoules. Obviously, as the drawing suggests, they are for nighttime use. Why? They help eliminate dead cells as we sleep, thanks to their soft peeling action. This way, we wake up with smoother, softer, glowing skin.

How does it work and do I use it?

Our Alfa-Peeling ampoules contain 10% alpha-hydroxy acids from fruits, which help renew our skin, giving it a younger, healthier appearance. When used regularly, these kinds of ingredients can correct and diminish imperfections: enlarged pores, acne marks, wrinkles and expression lines, even smoothing over differences in skin tone. As well as this renewal, the formula contains hyaluronic acid and marine collagen, which work to moisturise the skin and promote highly effective firming action.

You might be wondering by now how to use the ampoules. Well, for an effective treatment, apply half an ampoule to your face, neck and neckline after you’ve had you daily cleanse and applied eye contour. Once it’s been absorbed, you can apply your usual product, whether that’s a serum or a night cream.

The frequency with which you should use the ampoule will depend on your individual needs: people with greater need for skin regeneration can use them daily, or people with more sensitive or delicate skin can use them as an occasional one-off treatment.

The product’s oil-free base means it can be used with all skin types, from dry to oily. Its light, easily absorbed texture means this new step in our bedtime routine is quick and comfortable.

The best time of year to use the ampoules is during the winter months, although they can also be used in the summer. However, you should also make sure you don’t forget to put on sun screen every morning. For an intensive treatment, Alfa-Peeling ampoules at night can be combined with proteoglycan ampoules in the morning. This way, we can achieve a stronger effect and have radiant skin from day one.

So tonight, when you go to bed, what are you going to do? Above all, don’t forget that plenty of rest is vital for your skin health. We’ve posted before about the role of sleep in having healthy skin. If you’re interested, click here to read more.

Today we’ve told you about our nighttime ampoules. Remember: prevention is the best cure. If you want to learn about more secrets and treatments with our ampoules, be sure to keep up with our blog. Keep an eye out! ;)
