Join the slow life and show off healthy skin

Skin is a reflection of the foods that are consumed, but also of people’s pace of life. Stop being like Road Runner in your daily life and savour each second you live. Not only will your body and mind thank you, your skin will too.

Slow and steady has always won the race and, if your skin is at stake, it is better for you to leave speed out. Living without rushing, working without rushing, and even doing your tasks and hobbies enjoying each second without following a chaotic rhythm is the best option for making you feel good as well as look good. “Living slow” has a lot to do with your skin looking healthy and cared for.

If your skin could talk, it would ask you for one thing: to live life slowly!

Take your leave of poor company. In this case, for healthy skin it would be better for you to say “bye bye” to stress. Making way for anxiety is not only reflected in physical discomfort, it can also cause irritating itchy skin, acne, premature ageing or dermatitis. Who needs that on their skin? Nobody! So breathe and do things at a leisurely pace, prioritising and leaving some things for tomorrow. It is better to do little and do it well than to do a lot and for nothing to be worth it. Devote time to things and obtain better results, not only in your life but also for your skin. Relax and aim for magnificent skin.

Do you remember what they say about chewing each mouthful at least 30 times? This must be present in your meals. Eating fast and poorly is never a winning combination. Look after your diet and now more than ever savour each mouthful. Take your time to eat and your skin will give that healthy glow that you love to see so much in the mirror. When you don’t rush, your skin shines better.

Going to bed after a hard day’s work and resting is the best finishing touch you can give your day. Resting and sleeping for the hours your body needs is key. Leave counting sheep to someone else and whenever you put on your pyjamas make it your goal to sleep like a baby. In the morning your skin will look better and you will feel better than good.

A quiet life, simmering along, leaving rushing and nerves to one side, is a source of health. Your insides will thank you and will show others a cared for and healthy image.

Advice for healthy skin

  1. Follow a good diet: eating healthy is vital for your body. You will also have to forget about rushing around and you will have to sit down properly to eat. Your menu should combine fruit and vegetables and limit the intake of sugar, refined flours, pastries and cold meats.
  2. Rest and sleep for the necessary hours: resting properly does wonders for you, your body and your skin. Respecting a schedule will make you feel good and relaxed and this will be visible on your skin.
  3. Wash your skin daily: washing your skin is one of the first points that we always highlight for healthy skin. Before going to bed, wash your face, not only with water, but also through using a specific product and you will thus eliminate the make-up that you have used and all of the impurities that have accumulated on it throughout the day.
  4. Proper hydration: drinking water or another type of fluid can help you have more luminous and smooth skin.
  5. Sun protection: remember to always use sun protection when you leave the house. Although we are not in the hottest months of the year, our skin is always exposed to the sun and it needs us to protect it from sunrays to avoid blemishes later in life.

Have you seen yourself in this type of chaotic life, full of rushing about and bad habits? Then it is now time to take stock of the situation and change it so that this is reflected in your daily life, and particularly in your skin. Let your skin speak about you, and let it say that you are enjoying a healthy life.
